HIGH PRECISION AND STABILITY
The measurement accuracy is not affected by changes in fluid density, viscosity, temperature, pressure and conductivity. The sensor induced voltage signal is linear with the average flow rate, so the measurement accuracy is high. Unaffected by the temperature, pressure, density, or viscosity of the liquid. Able to detect liquids that include contaminants (solids, air bubbles)
The converter uses surface mount technology (SMT) with self-test and self-diagnostics.
The bi-directional measurement system can be measured forward flow, reverse flow. There is no need to change or reset the electromagnetic flowmeter when the direction of the pipe fluid changes. The flowmeter with three totalizers: positive total, reverse total, total difference; can display positive and negative flow, and has multiple outputs: current, pulse, digital communication, HART.
NO PRESSURE LOSS
The sensor structure of the electromagnetic flowmeter is relatively simple, and it is one of the flowmeters with the lowest energy consumption in the flowmeters. There are no moving parts in the measuring tube and no throttling part that blocks the flow of fluid and does not cause any additional pressure loss when the fluid passes through the flow meter.
NO MOVING PARTS
The operation of a magnetic flow meter or mag meter is based upon Faraday’s Law, which states that the voltage induced across any conductor as it moves at right angles through a magnetic field is proportional to the velocity of that conductor. A magnetic flow meter (mag Flowmeter) is a volumetric flow meter that does not have any moving parts. No moving parts, that means the Long service life and low maintenance costs.
Water and wastewater applications include custody transfer of liquids in force mains between water/wastewater districts. Magnetic flowmeters are used in water treatment plants to measure treated and untreated sewage, process water, water, and chemicals. Mining and mineral process industry applications include process water and process slurry flows and heavy media flows.

Magnetic flowmeters use Faraday’s Law of Electromagnetic Induction to determine the flow of liquid in a pipe. In a magnetic flowmeter, a magnetic field is generated and channeled into the liquid flowing through the pipe. Following Faraday’s Law, the flow of a conductive liquid through the magnetic field will cause a voltage signal to be sensed by electrodes located on the flow tube walls. When the fluid moves faster, more voltage is generated. Faraday’s Law states that the voltage generated is proportional to the movement of the flowing liquid. The electronic transmitter processes the voltage signal to determine the liquid flow.
In contrast with many other flowmeter technologies, magnetic flowmeter technology produces signals that are linear with the flow. As such, the turndown associated with magnetic flowmeters can approach 20:1 or better without sacrificing accuracy. They represent about 23% of all flowmeters sold.
